Feleta C. Morton

Alamance Community College


Feleta is currently employed as the Veterans Services Coordinator at Alamance Community College.  She has over eight years of experience as a School Certifying Official. Prior to ACC, she was the Associate Registrar at Averett University. There she obtained her BBA (2010) and MBA (2013) in Business Administration.  Feleta also has an AAS in Information Systems Technology (2007) from Danville Community College in Danville, VA.  She is honored to work assisting veterans, their spouses, and dependents.

Brian Lewis-Hardy

MyComputerCareer


Brian is currently employed as the Compliance Specialist – Federal Programs and Military Education Benefits Director for MyComputerCareer. He has close to 20 years experience as a School Certifying Official. Prior to MyComputerCareer, Brian has worked for Several Schools in the for-Profit and non-Profit Private Sector, and has worked with NCD and IHL institutions within NC, IN, TX, OH, NV, and beyond. Brian obtained his Associates of Applied Science degree in Business Administration from Forsyth Technical Community College, a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Masters of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  As a military spouse, sibling of a Post 9/11 veteran, and child of a Vietnam war veteran, he is honored to work in an area where he can support veterans and their dependents in funding their education and assisting in supportive services for service members

Dori Barron

Western Piedmont Community College


Dori is the Director of Financial Aid and VA SCO at Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC).  She has served as WPCC’s SCO since 2007 and also served as NCACVA President in 16-17.  Dori has a BA in Psychology and a MA in Education with a concentration in Community College Leadership, both from Appalachian State University.

Beverly Billings

Davidson County Community College


Beverly has worked in Financial Aid for 13 years and enjoys guiding students through their educational journey. In addition to being the senior Federal aid processor, Beverly has been the VA Certifying Official at Davidson County Community College since August 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a Masters of Science in Human Resources Management. Beverly likes to travel when she can with her husband of six years, Thomas, retired NC National Guard member.

Brad Wren

University of North Carolina at Greensboro


Brad Wrenn is the Coordinator of the Veterans Resource Center at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  After being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 2002, Brad earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from East Carolina University.  He currently lives in Greensboro with his wife Rachel and their two dogs, Karma and Levi, and he enjoys backpacking, gardening, and beekeeping in his spare time.

Rachel has been employed at Cape Fear Community College for 19 1/2 years. She has served as the Assistant Director and Director of Financial Aid as well as certifying official for VA.  Rachel loves serving those who have served. 

Treasurer

Tasha Williams

Piedmont Community College


Tasha is currently employed at Piedmont Community College as Dean of Enrollment Services. She has been with Piedmont Community College for over 22 years. Most of her time has been in the Financial Aid/Veterans Affairs office. On November 1, 2020, she was promoted to Dean of Enrollment Services, which oversees the offices of Admissions, Records, and Financial Aid/Veterans Affairs. Tasha has a BS Degree in Mathematics from NC Central University and MS Degree in Accounting from Gardner-Webb University. She has been a certifying official since March 2000.

Tracy Rapp

Haywood Community College


Tracy currently serves at Haywood Community College as the Senior Director of Student Enrollment and Financial Aid.  Prior to working at HCC, Tracy was at Mitchell CC for seven years as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. She previously has held the offices of President and Treasurer with NCACVA. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2014 with a MAE in Community College Leadership. Tracy enjoys singing, dancing and spending time with her 4 granddaughters.
